How EMDR-Inspired Coaching Helped a 6-Figure Entrepreneur Break Free from Anxiety
By Faith Foo, EMDR-Inspired Performance Coach
In the world of entrepreneurship, success doesn’t always bring peace. In fact, for some, the higher they rise, the heavier the weight they carry. One of my most inspiring clients—a driven, self-made CEO—came to me at a time when they should have been celebrating massive success. Instead, they were drowning in anxiety.
This client had gone from earning four figures a month to building a thriving business that brought in consistent six-figure monthly revenue. But as the business expanded, so did the pressure. By the second or third week of each month, anxiety would spike. Financial reports became a trigger. Sales targets transformed into a looming threat. Eventually, the stress turned into full-blown panic attacks.
They told me:
“I keep worrying about not hitting my targets. Every time I look at the revenue numbers, I feel my chest tighten. Even though we’re doing well, I can’t stop thinking about what might go wrong.”
The EMDR-Inspired Coaching Process
As an EMDR-Inspired Performance Coach, my role isn’t just to help clients achieve more—it’s to help them feel safe and strong while they do it.
In our sessions, I integrated EMDR-inspired techniques such as:
- Resource Installation: We anchored the client’s past successes into their nervous system, helping them feel their own power again.
- Bilateral Stimulation: Through guided visual and tactile cues, we supported the reprocessing of anxious patterns, reducing the emotional charge behind triggering thoughts.
- Limiting Belief Reframing: We identified the root fear—“If I fail, I’ll lose everything.”—and replaced it with a grounded truth:
“I’ve done it before. I can do it again. I am smart. I am capable.”
This was more than positive thinking. This was a neuro-emotional reset. As the client reconnected with their resilience, a powerful internal shift happened.
The Transformation
Once the client stopped spiraling in fear and started grounding themselves in their real strengths, the panic eased. Their relationship with the business transformed. They became clearer, more strategic, and started leading with calm authority rather than anxious reactivity.
Their words say it best:
Client Testimony
“I came in at the darkest time of my life. Business dropped after MCO, my relationship got worse, and I was close to losing my mind. Faith guided me out from the rut with no judgment and explained why it’s okay to feel how I’m feeling. My life is a lot simpler, lighter, and happier now. Thank you so much, Faith ❤️”

Final Thoughts
EMDR-inspired coaching is not therapy, but it is deeply therapeutic. It’s about helping high-functioning leaders and entrepreneurs move from survival mode to self-leadership. It’s about helping them remember who they are—especially when fear tries to make them forget.
If you’re a leader navigating high stakes and silent battles, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Let’s work together to rewire your mindset, reclaim your calm, and reignite your power.
